Poland is renowned for offering excellent shopping opportunities, and shopping in Krakow can be quite affordable if you explore a bit. As one of Poland’s largest cities, Krakow is no exception to this trend. Here, you’ll find everything you’d expect in a major city, ranging from familiar chains like Zara and H&M to luxury brands like Hermes and Louis Vuitton.
Ulica Florianska
Ulica Florianska is one of the main streets in Krakow’s Old Town and probably the most famous one. It’s also the oldest street in Krakow, with a history dating back to 1257. Along this charming street, you’ll find a plethora of shops and cafes. Instead of major chains, you’ll encounter smaller boutiques specializing in bags, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and more.
Galeria Krakowska
Located right near Krakow’s Old Town, this massive shopping center boasts nearly 300 different stores and chains. You can find everything from Nike and H&M to Hugo Boss. One of the highlights of Polish shopping centers is typically the top floor, where the food court is located. Indulge in KFC, McDonald’s, and quench your thirst at Starbucks. Many items are cheaper than in Norway, even though the Norwegian currency has depreciated against the Polish zloty. We highly recommend Galeria Krakowska, whether you’re on a shopping spree or just want to browse and grab a meal.
Galeria Kazimierz
Situated by the river, this is the second of the three massive shopping centers in Krakow. There aren’t significant differences in the selection, so visiting just one will suffice. Besides shops and a food court, this center also houses a fitness center with a pool, should you be tempted to work out during your vacation.
Bonarka
Bonarka is the largest shopping center in terms of space, if not necessarily in the number of shops. In this gigantic complex, you’ll also find a massive food hall and a cinema. With around 240 stores, the selection is slightly smaller than at Galeria Kazimierz, but you’re unlikely to notice the difference. The downside of this shopping center is its location; you’ll need to take a 20-minute taxi ride from the Old Town to get here. So, there should be a compelling reason to venture all the way to this center.
Factory Krakow
Approximately 20 minutes from the Old Town, you’ll find Krakow’s largest outlet center, housing around 120 different stores. Here, you can discover brands such as Quiksilver, Lacoste, Karl Lagerfeld, and many more, all at significantly lower prices than in regular stores. In other words, you have a great chance to make some bargains here. It’s worth noting that it gets quite crowded on weekends.
Centrum Serenada
This relatively new shopping center (opened in 2018) is a massive complex with everything from shopping to a cinema and swimming pool. You’ll find approximately 170 stores here, including the largest Zara in Krakow and the only stores for Van Graaf, New Look, and Forever 21 in the city.
